The Waiting Game

I don't think there will be any running for me this week. Or even working out. This baby is coming and I think it will be this week. All the signs are pointing towards it. I hardly slept a wink last night, between the contractions and the nervous anticipation I could not rest. I was up at least five or six times and when I wasn't up I was laying awake in bed thinking of labor and the logistics of getting to the birthing center and transferring Sophia over to my Mom. It's kind of like pre-race anxiety where you can't sleep because all you can think about is your pacing and if you packed that GU or not and double checking your alarm. Except this isn't a race it's birth, which is way bigger and way more important. I've been trying to combat nerves by doing "normal" things, like going to the grocery store, doing laundry...writing a blog post. But after nine months of waiting I'm pretty excited and anxious to meet the little guy who's been growing inside me:-)

How do you deal with nerves and anxiety?
