Persevere: Endorphin Warrior Training Bracelet Review & Giveaway
I've had my eye on Endorphin Warrior'sPERSEVERE Training Bracelet for some time now. If you remember it was part of my Holiday Gift Guide post. Although I didn't get it for Christmas, Endorphin Warrior recently sent me one to review and I love it even more now that it's on my wrist! For me the word "Persevere" evokes strong emotions. It brings to mind the darkest moments of my life, the moments that lay you bare, that test all that you have and believe. To persevere is to hold on to faith in the midst of those moments. It says to keep going when you are discouraged. It says that the voice of doubt is wrong and the voice of hope is true.
At the end of this month I will celebrate four years of sobriety from bulimia. I believed. I had faith. I knew that I could be free. I persevered through it. And here I am on the other side, free.
"Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1
When I looked down at my wrist and see the word "persevere" I am reminded of the hardest moments and the hope that prevailed.
Not only is the bracelet a reminder of how I have persevered in the past, but it also is an encouragement to persevere now. It's no joke that life is tough. We are experiencing it first hand with what our son, Jack is going through. The difficulty of real life often dwarfs the difficulty of training, but the metaphors between life and training are endless. Just like running, life requires endurance, life requires perseverance, and courage and faith and belief. Maybe they should re-name these bracelets "Life Bracelets."
Just as it is applicable to both training and life, the bracelet is versatile. I love that I can wear it on a run or pair it with my other bracelets and a watch, and it looks great. Plus the soft leather is incredibly comfortable for me and for my kiddos (I have a few bracelets with poky angles that are not-so-baby-friendly).
